This Web site, www.thecommunityguide.org, is the official site of the Guide to Community Preventive Services (Community Guide) and is a valuable resource to what is known about the effectiveness, economic efficiency, and feasibility of interventions to promote community health and prevent disease. The rigorous systematic reviews and Task Force recommendations that are the hallmarks of the Community Guide are designed to make current scientific evidence accessible to local decision makers who must select appropriate health interventions with and for their communities. This Web site includes information about:

The Task Force on Community Preventive Services (Task Force), an independent, nonfederal panel of community health experts, develops the Community Guide under the auspices of the Department of Health and Human Services, with staff support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and input from many experts throughout the United States.

The content of Community Guide print and on-line publications is in the public domain, which means that others may copy it at no cost and without permission.
