In the Year of the Nurse 2020: How Nurses Can Use The Community Guide
A new article in the American Journal of Nursing (AJN) features ways nurses can use evidence-based recommendations from The Community Guide, an online resource of evidence-based findings and tools, to improve patients’ health where they work, live, and play. The Council of Public Health Nursing Organizations (formerly the Quad Council Coalition of Public Health Nursing Organizations) published the article in the March issue of AJN.

The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) provides evidence-based findings and recommendations about community preventive services, programs, and other interventions aimed at improving population health. These findings are listed on The Community Guide. CPSTF is supported by CDC’s Community Guide Office and 32 Liaisons, including the Council of Public Health Nursing Organizations and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
The article will be available to everyone through 2020, after which it will be available by subscription or purchase.
