What topics are addressed by the Community Guide?

The Community Guide has examined the effectiveness of more than 200 public health interventions in 18 topic areas. Interventions considered by the Community Guide are designed to:

  • Promote healthy behaviors or reduce unhealthy behaviors, e.g., increase physical activity
  • Reduce specific diseases, injuries, and impairments, e.g., improve vaccination coverage among children, adolescents, and adults
  • Promote healthy behaviors in settings such as worksites, e.g. implement policies to reduce tobacco use
