Systematic reviews of economic evaluations are completed for those interventions that are either Strongly Recommended or Recommended by the Task Force on Community Preventive Services. This approach was chosen because effectiveness is a prerequisite for cost effectiveness; therefore, effectiveness should generally be shown before economic efficiency is assessed. Information about our steps for obtaining and evaluating evidence for review of economic evaluations is available in our Methods section.

Summaries of completed reviews of economic evaluations are available for each health topic published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine (AJPM).
