Diabetes Prevention and Control: Self-Management Education in School Settings
Task Force Finding*
Educating teachers and other school professionals about diabetes can create a supportive environment for self-management, minimize disruption in educational routines attributable to diabetes, and allow school personnel to respond appropriately to diabetes-related emergencies.
On the basis of Community Guide rules of evidence, the Task Force concluded that there was insufficient evidence to assess the effectiveness of this intervention.
